Experimenting with a Holga camera... really great effects achieved through random light leaks and other "flaws." If you've never used a Holga camera, definitely make a point to!

very nice, i like how the reflection of the tangle of branches is over the patterned bricks
thanks very much for your comments! i really appreciate it!
I love the Lighting in the picture. It creates are really interesting lighting and really compliments the reflection in the puddle.
*ignorant in photography* Is a helga camera an older style ? Cause the way this picture tones and granes it looks straight from like the 1930's. I really love those type of pictures, they just have this feeling about them. Awesome shot too, the reflection is very subtle and beautiful.
hehe...I mean Holga.(Shouldve scrolled up !)
Thanks a heap!! :) Holga cameras are a relatively new brand, but it's the same process as using a more expensive (efficient) Single Lens Reflex -SLR- film camera. These cameras were made when photography was really starting to gain popularity in the US & are basically just plastic, crappy, non-light tight film cameras. You can read more about them here:

And I definitely recommend at least trying one out if not buying one (they're only about $20 US dollars if not cheaper)! Good stuff.

I love it!!

Thanks again.
Hey Shan, great pic! first off I am a huge fan of black and white. Also, i really like how the tree isnt entierly reflected in the puddel because of the natural formation of the water. Good eye sister...keep up the good work :)
thanks, josh. i greatly enjoy black and white photo, too! glad you like this image... i think this "holga" camera is totally rad. you got all kinds of crazy effects...
This is beautiful. I love reflections, and I love seeing them through puddles. I always wanted to take pictures this way, and I only recently attempted it, but this looks much better. :)
